great place to get away
This is my second year going there. Fist year I camped this time I got a cabin. It's was very clean and well kept. My only issue was that the cabins needs to be aired out a bit more. Was a tiny bit musty.
Not a review, just some important information to consider. This place is called Deerhaven Retreat and Conference Center and it does not do single rentals for individuals. It is meant to be a group conference and retreat in Ocala National Forest where you can reserve different calendar days to visit within the year. My interaction with the young man on the phone a few minutes ago was very pleasant, as he was informative and polite in talking with me. I can say from the pictures of the area, it is a beautiful and well-maintained place.
We stayed here for a square dance event. A little rustic for my taste -- they have dormitory-style rooms; bring your own sheets, pillows, towels, etc. Overall, clean and well maintained.
